A.   Services provided

On an average department deals with 500-550 patients daily for different diagnostic radiological procedures. Department is open round the clock including holidays. Emergency on call service also available.  

 

Services provided by the department.

         3. Ultra sonograms –
   2. General abdominal ultrasound
   3. Transrectal and transvaginal ultrasound
   4. Transcranial sonogram
   5. Duplex Doppler Sonogram of carotid, splanchnic and peripheral vessels.
   6. USG of breast with elastography,  soft tissue, testes and thyroid.
   7. Sonography guided biopsy procedures / Aspiration, Dranage procedure.
   8. USG evaluation of high risk growth retarded fetuses.
   9. 4D Ultrasonogram.

4. CT scan by whole body 128 multi slice CT scanner round the clock.

5. CT guided FNAC. Biopsy and dranage, USG guided FNAC, Aspiration and dranage.

6. MRI Brain, Pituitary, Spine,  joints, MRCP, Abdomen, Chest, MR, Angiography, MR venography etc. by 1.5 tesla machine. Neurovagination, MR elastography, MR Perfusion.

            1.   Journal Club: Discussion in latest developments published in reputed International Journals in Radiology.

            2.   Weekly clinical meeting/ presentation program by the students.

            3.   Attends general clinical meetings in auditorium and also present papers from department of Radiology.

            4.   Examiner in BSMMU, University of Dhaka and BCPS.
