Update:
- Started Prosthodontic services(Crown/Bridge/Denture) in collaboration with Ibrahim Medical College (Dental Unit).
- Started Clinical training for BDS students (4th year) of Ibrahim Medical College (Dental Unit).
- Two new Dental OT have been inaugurated in the Ibrahim Medical College Annex building.
- Digital Dental Radiograph (RVG) have been started during this period.
- Major Oral and maxillofacial surgeries (Oral cancer, facial fractures, Benign tumors, Large cyst, others) under General Anesthesia has started.
- Started X-ray OPG and Cephalometry in collaboration with Department of Radiology, BIRDEM.
Special Project:
Smoking Cessation intervention program is started in the department of Dental Surgery under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Arup Ratan Chowdhury since August, 2016. A committee has been formed where Prof. Dr. Anwara Sayed Haque is adviser. Tobacco users are requested to contact Prof. Arup Ratan Chowdhury’s room at department of dental surgery. Dr. Umme SalmaTalukder Junior Consultant, Department of Psychiatry, BIRDEM and Mrs. Sadia Sharmin Urmi a clinical Psychologist of MANAS will attend them for “Tobacco Cessation and Quit smoking program” every Thursday of the week from 2.00pm to 4.00pm.Consultation fee 300 taka will be charged for this program.
